Will the colors fade after washing?

No. We use Procion MX fiber reactive dyes, which bond covalently with cotton at the molecular level — they don't sit on top of the fabric, they become part of it. With proper care (cold water, gentle cycle, inside out), your shirt will hold its colors for years.

How do I care for my shirt?

Wash cold, gentle cycle, inside out. Tumble dry low or air dry. Avoid bleach or harsh detergents. The first wash may release a tiny amount of unbonded dye — this is normal and won't affect the final color.

Will my shirt look exactly like the photo?

Yes. Every shirt is folded and dyed by hand. The photos show the exact shirt you're buying, but no two CBDB shirts are ever identical. You're getting a one-of-a-kind piece.

What fabric are the shirts made from?

All shirts are 100% cotton, pre-washed and pre-soaked in soda ash before dyeing to ensure maximum dye uptake and color vibrancy.

What sizes do you carry?

Sizes vary by drop since inventory is limited and handmade in small batches. Check each product listing for the exact size. Sign up for the email list to be notified when new sizes become available. Or email me to make a special order. mont@cbdbdyeworks.com

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship within 1–3 business days from Salida, Colorado. Domestic shipping typically takes 3–5 business days after that. You'll receive a tracking number when your order ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship within the United States. Contact us if you're outside the US, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

What is your return/exchange policy?

Because every shirt is unique and hand-died, we don't accept returns for "changed my mind." If your item arrives damaged or significantly different from the listing photos, contact us within 7 days, and we'll make it right.

Can I request a custom color or design?

We occasionally accept custom orders depending on capacity. Reach out through the contact form to discuss. Custom work typically requires a 2–4 week lead time. mont@cbdbdyeworks.com

What is ice dyeing?

Ice dyeing is a technique in which solid dye powder is applied to crushed ice packed on folded fabric. As the ice melts slowly, it carries pigment through the cloth in branching, unpredictable patterns, creating feathered edges and color blends that can't be achieved any other way.

How do I know when new inventory drops?

Inventory is limited and drops irregularly. The best way to stay informed is to join the email list at the bottom of the homepage.
